Who can see my imaging

  • Once logged in, select the ‘Sharing’ tab from your dashboard.
  • This tab displays a list of all the doctors and specialists who have requested access to your imaging, or with who you have shared your imaging.
  • Click on a doctor’s name to find out more about them.

If a doctor no longer requires access to your information or you think their access is inappropriate, you can revoke their access at any time. Simply follow the steps above and once you have clicked on the name of the doctor on the next page you can select ‘End sharing’ to remove this doctor’s access to your information.

Adding your imaging

Prepare your imaging

Your doctor has asked you to use Aurabox so they can have your medical imaging readily available during your treatment.

Before your appointment, it’s helpful to add as much of your medical imaging to Aurabox as possible.

  • Give yourself as much time as possible
Depending on how much imaging you have, it may take time to upload. Try to have your CDs or USBs ready to go, and allow as much time as possible to load your imaging into Aurabox.
  • Request your originals
You may need to contact the suppliers who performed the imaging and request copies to be provided to you. In Australia, medical imaging suppliers are required to make your imaging available to you in the format you request. Some suppliers may upload into Aurabox directly.
  • Make sure you have the right files
You will need the full DICOM imaging (on USB, CD or via download) to upload into Aurabox. Other imaging formats (e.g. JPEG or TIFF) are not usable in Aurabox, and are not standard medical imaging formats.
  • Get help
If you are having trouble obtaining your imaging, Aurabox may be able to help. Use the chat function at the bottom of the page to get in touch.

Upload your imaging to Aurabox

We made uploading your imaging as simple as possible.

  • Once logged in, select the “Add imaging” button from your profile dashboard.
  • From the imaging wizard screen, select the “use the uploader” option to upload imaging from CD, USB or from files already on your computer.
  • Drag-and-drop your DICOM files, or the folders on your CDs/USBs containing medical imaging. Don’t worry about adding extra files, the uploader will filter out invalid files, and prepare your imaging for upload.
  • Once the images are found, continue with the upload process by selecting the “upload” button.
  • Your imaging will be uploaded to the cloud. This can take some time, depending on your connection speed. Don’t close the tab while the upload is running.

Once the upload is complete, it will take around five to ten minutes for our systems to catalog your imaging, after which it will be available for viewing.

You can now exit the wizard, or continue to add Report files.

Add a report to your imaging

A report accompanies most medical imaging, and is usually found in a PDF or text file with your imaging. Adding any reports ensures your doctor has all the information they need to accurately assess your symptoms and monitor your progress.

From your imaging list, locate the images/study that you wish to add the report to. Follow the prompts to add a text report or upload a file.

What to do with other types of imaging or medical history records.

You may have other medical imaging records that are not digital. To add records of film imaging or a PDF of medical images, select “Add/Upload” from your dashboard.

  • From the imaging wizard page, select the “Add record” button under the “hard copy or historical record” heading.
  • Provide as much detail as you can in the add study form, then select “Save and continue”
  • The next screen provides you with an opportunity to add a report or any other related documentation. Use the “Add a report” to upload this information or select “Continue” if you have no further information to add.
  • The record is now complete. Select “Done” to finalise the process.
  • You can view this record the same way as you would view other uploads. It will be added in chronological order to your imaging list. From your dashboard click “My imaging” to view.

Share imaging

Once you have uploaded all your imaging to your Aurabox Profile you can start to share it with your treating doctors.

  • Once logged in, select the ‘Sharing’ tab from your dashboard.
  • Click the ‘Share’ button.
  • Enter the name and email address for the doctor you would like to share your Profile with.
  • Select ‘Share’ and the doctor will receive an email inviting them to Aurabox, and giving them access to your imaging history. The doctor has 14 days to accept this request.
  • Your share request will be listed on this page and you will see when the share has been accepted.

If you make an error with the doctor’s name or email address or wish to cancel the share for another reason, simply select ‘Withdraw’ to cancel the request.
