Working with Imaging

Aurabox is designed to streamline the storage, viewing, and sharing of medical imaging, with an emphasis on privacy, security, and ease of use. Whether you’re uploading imaging for clinical treatment, sharing for second opinions, or storing imaging for research and education purposes, Aurabox provides a comprehensive platform to manage all your medical imaging needs.

How to Add Medical Imaging

  1. Select a Patient/Case
From your Aurabox dashboard, choose an existing Patient or Case or create a newone to begin the upload process.

  2. Upload Method
Depending on your source, you can upload imaging using one of the following methods:

    • Web Uploader: Drag and drop files or select them from your computer.
    • Integration: Forward imaging automatically from an integration
    • DICOMWeb STOW: Send imaging to a DICOMWeb STOW-RS endpoint provided by Aurabox.
    • Transfer Request: Request imaging from another facility.
  3. Automatic De-Identification
For Cases, imaging will be de-identified automatically upon upload. This includes removing personally identifiable information (PII) from the DICOM metadata.

  4. Confirmation and Review
Once the imaging is uploaded, you will receive a confirmation. You can then review the imaging in the Aurabox viewer and share it with colleagues.
